About Me

My photo
Hi there! This is a blog created by New York University's Anti-Child Trafficking Club, known as ACT. We're starting this blog as of November 2010 to spread awareness of human trafficking and update people on facts, stories and such. The name comes from our idea that so often people don't know the names of the women that are sex trafficked and their identities. This is also true to any type of trafficking. We want to get closer to those names.

First Post!

Hello reader! This is Tammy here, the treasurer of our club. Just breaking in the new blog. Take a look at our "About Me" on the right side tab there. This blog will be kept up by various members of our club to post stories of human trafficking to spread awareness. I hope this blog will be informative and a good place for discussion and thought. Just a lil' bit about the picture on the profile, dang it, I can't seem to find the photographer who took it, but it's one of my favorite photos. It's of a girl spreading her arms out to water from a broken hydrant. I hope we can all spread our arms out like she is with what we learn from our club and with this blog. Spread the arms! Spread the word! Let's fill in that blank.
